If you are deciding to go DIY for your bathroom, these quick, and easy tips might help to guide you through the process!

Plan Ahead

This one seems obvious, but is often overlooked. By planning ahead – buying all products, materials, tools – you are making it much less likely for something to go wrong. There is nothing worse than getting halfway through a job, before finding out that the material you wanted is now out of stock for a month. Likewise, if you had family visiting the next month and forgot to include this in your plan, it could be a bit of a problem. This is why planning is essential, and cannot be forgotten.

Don't Chuck Away The Instructions!

I know, we all know, that it's a pain to sit down for 5 minutes and read the instructions. We're all guilty of it, but unless you're a professional bathroom fitter, it's probably best to take a very close look at the instructions. With experience, come a lot of knowledge, so instructions aren't always necessary as qualified professionals.

Carefully Choose Your Tools

Using the right tools, at the right time, is non-negotiable. It is so easy to damage your bathroom fixtures when poorly selecting tools, and it could result in a complete start over. To save time, money, and frustration, make sure your tool selection is on point!

Always Double-Check Your Measurements

You always want to measure twice, and cut once, not measure once, and cut twice. Similar to the tip about which tools you use, this is something that, in the long run, will protect your time, money, and sanity. So, for your own good: measure twice!

There are tons of tips to talk about, and lots of technical aspects to investigate, but this general advice is a great starting point for your DIY Bathroom. If you would like more tips and tricks for bathroom installations, feel free to let us know!
